HRC Corporate Equality Index

The Corporate Equality Index, CEI, of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, HRC, is recognized in the United States as the principle tool to measure how equitably companies are treating their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors.

HRC rates companies when sufficient information has been gathered and verified. Rated companies must have at least 500 full-time U.S. employees or be listed on:

  • Fortune magazine's ranking of America's largest corporations (top 1000)
  • Forbes magazine's ranking of the largest privately held companies (top 200)
  • Standard & Poor's 500 Index of equity performance (top 500)
  • American Lawyer magazine's ranking of the largest law firms (top 100)
The CEI does not rate colleges and universities, government employers, non-profits or companies with fewer than 500 employees. (from www.hrc.org)

FLLWA organizes educational workshops based on the interest of area companies to discuss industry best practices to assure equitable and competitive work environments.
